Foodie blog experiments with Fjording

A popular Norwegian foodie blog surprised me with a delightful cocktail recipe and some wonderful pictures. They also added some nice words about our product.

100

Yesterday we rounded 100 Vinmonopol with Fjording in stock. All over Norway - except Trondheim city. What’s going on with the big city-“trønders”? :)

Sold out

We’ve experienced empty stock for the first time. An ambivalent feeling. However, I must admit: It’s a rather pleasant challenge :)

A non-measurable goal

Most goals in business are measurable. Sales, revenue, market share etc. But in Fjording we have one important goal that is difficult to measure; lifting the status of cream liqueur and the prestige of those who drink it. Why is this important?

The B-word

There’s an Irish market leader in the cream liqueur category. And Fjording is often named as the Norwegian version of it. What do I think about people using the B-word about our product?

Fjording in the news

Our crowdfunding round succeeded, and this created some buzz in the news. At TV2 Nyhetskanalen, Christian Ringnes shared his thoughts on Fjording entering the cream liqueur business. Will he be right or wrong?

Nord Magazine likes Fjording

Some publicity are more prestigious than others. Being rewarded the “Nord liker”-tag, in one of the coolest and prettiest food and lifestyle magazines in the Nordics, really made my day.

Sørlandschips-moment

(Text in Norwegian). Det blir stadig meir vanskelig å gå forbi kremlikørhyller på Vinmonopolet der Fjording ikkje er representert. Då melder lysta seg til å køyre “ein Sørlandschips-taktikk”.

We’ve discovered that the bottle print isn’t as hard and robust as we had expected it to be. We apologize to customers experiencing damaged print.

Keeping track of the Fjording-donation

Fjording is going to donate $ 1 for each sold bottle to fjord horse-friendly initiatives. To raise awareness on biodiversity and helping an old companion. On our corks we’re numbering each bottle, so that everyone can keep track of how much we’re going to donate the following year.

Customers playing with Fjording

The discovery of White Russian has been a jackpot for the Kahlua drink. Suddenly the product became much larger than itself. Could such a thing happen to Fjording too? Well perhaps - if our customers keep playing around with our product.
